🎉 Exploring Sustainability with FASHION.ED – Interactive Workshops at the University of Oradea 🌿

On March 24–25, 2025, the Department of Textiles, Leather and Industrial Management within the Faculty of Energy Engineering and Industrial Management, together with the Faculty of Arts, organized a series of creative and educational workshops for students from “Mihai Eminescu” National College in Oradea, as part of the Green Week initiative.

The students explored concepts such as the circular economy, the environmental impact of textile waste and sustainable ways to reinvent fashion. The hands-on activities challenged them to create new products by reusing denim textile waste and to redesign clothing items using simple printing techniques—demonstrating how innovation and sustainability can go hand in hand.

A special highlight was the presentation of the Erasmus+ project Fashion.ED, where students explored a virtual textile lab using VR glasses and experienced games and quizzes focused on sustainable fashion and eco-design.
