The 4 Winners of the Eco Design Challenge
At Fashion.ED, we are proud to announce the four winners of the Eco Design Challenge, a competition designed to foster sustainable entrepreneurship in the field of textile eco-design.
A total of 20 students from the four partner universities took part in the challenge after receiving specialized training delivered by BDF in Leeuwarden, focused on entrepreneurship and sustainable business development in textile eco-design. Building on this experience, each participant developed their own business proposal, submitting a report outlining their idea.
All proposals were evaluated by a panel of experts, who assessed both the technical textile aspects and the strength of each Business Model Canvas.
During the Final Conference of Fashion.ED held at UPV, the 20 one-minute pitch videos were presented, where each student briefly and engagingly showcased their entrepreneurial idea.
Finally, the four winners of the Eco Design Challenge were announced:
🥇 Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) → Emilija Mieliauskaite
🥇 University of West Attica (UNIWA) → Anastasia Poliviou
🥇 University of Oradea → Pop Denisa
🥇 Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) → Ricardo Saiz Aragón
As a prize, the winners will receive mentorship and personalized guidance from BDF and the project partners, supporting them in the future development of their entrepreneurial initiatives.
